Sorry it's been a while since I last posted but my life has been quite hectic recently one way or another, especially with the makeup side of things as I have been helping out with the makeup for some local shows, which were amazing and amazing to help with the makeup as well. This post is gong to be my top 3 dark lipsticks. I absolutely love dark lipsticks and I wear them all through the year, but once Winter comes I can wear them to the extreme! I do prefer dark red lipsticks rather than dark purples or plums as I feel they suit me the most. So, i'm afraid this post isn't going to have much of a range with the colours of the lipsticks! The first lipstick is by Revlon and it is one of their lip butters. The lip butter is in the colour Red Velvet. |
This is the most recent purchase of my three lipsticks. I have been wanting to try the Revlon lip butters for a long time now because I have heard so many good reviews of them. So, when I saw they had brought out a dark red version, well you can guess I was quite excited! It is so pigmented and moisturising so I have been loving wearing it especially now it is getting extremely cold in England. Buy here.
This is the most expensive out of the three. This is Fling Thing by Benefit. This lipstick is on the more pinky side of red. It is more of a glossy lipstick rather than matte so it feels very nourishing on the lips. This lipstick would also be great in the Summer as well because of it's pinky tones! I also love the packaging as it looks very vintage almost like you could see it sitting on the dressing table of Audrey Hepburn or Marlilyn Monroe. Buy here
The last lipstick is by far the darkest and the cheapest of all three lipsticks, it was only £1 and it is by BC. It is a very dark cherry red, so it is very vampy which I love for this time of year. As it is such as dark lipstick it is easier to apply with a lip brush also because you can get a more polished look. Buy here .
